Hope you're having a healthy start to 2024? For some of us this may not be the case for lots of social, health, financial and unexpected things that may be happening. I know I need to budget better and only buy what I need because I want to save the monies to travel this year!
Just wanted you to know you are not alone and there is always someone to talk to. www.lgbthero.org.uk/find-support
Sometimes finding the right support can take time, but for now do look at our website for any support services that may help findout.lgbthero.org.uk
This year I have continued with lower back pain and shoulder pains and this has affected my mental health and wellbeing. So what I am doing each day is sticking to my self-care routines that work for me - Good telly (currently watching The Traitors on BBC, eating and sleeping well, trying to walk as much as possible and hang out with my two cats as much as possible. I have also set the challenge of watching one film every other night). www.lgbthero.org.uk/pages/category/self-care
What self-care is currently working for you? We recently explored this in LGBTQ+ HangOuts ( a social support Zoom group that meets every 1st and 3rd Sat of the month) and most of us felt this year we are going to look after ourselves as much as we can, first and surround ourselves with people that give positivity and mutual care. www.lgbthero.org.uk/Pages/Events/
Let us know how the start of 2024 is going for you. Any exciting plans?
I know for sure I want to see more of the UK and the rest of the world travelling this year (Scotland, Wales, Europe, US or Canada), so I have set a couple of goals to do this, that are realistic. Wish me luck.
Best wishes
