Hi, I'm looking for some new friends. I'm currently in a weird place in my life with my long term relationship and think it would be good to get to know some new people. I'm 34, based in East Anglia. My interests include films, acting, singing, Stephen King novels (ATM) and... Lego (childish I know). Would love to chat to like-minded people or anyone else who may be feeling a bit isolated and want someone to chat to.

Hi there, welcome to LGBT HERO forums. Talking to someone on a 121 in a private and confidential way is often a valuable way to start to reduce isolation. Please have a look at this resource link >> www.lgbthero.org.uk/find-support (the people that offer support by listening are well trained and very supportive) Really like all your interests - I wish I had the confidence to sing more. Making friends or connecting with others, in some ways, is more available by joining a group that your where your hobbies are interests are. Apps such as 'meet up' and 'Eventbrite' is always a good start too, as there may be local groups that meet. At LGBT HERO we also run regular social support groups most Tuesdays and Saturdays - these are online on Zoom. www.lgbthero.org.uk/Pages/Events/Here are the groups we currently run >> www.lgbthero.org.uk/Pages/Category/hangoutsLGBTQ+ HangOuts is running this Saturday if you would like to attend >> www.lgbthero.org.uk/Event/lgbtq-hangouts-03022024-lets-talk-about-prideThe aim of the groups is to reduce isolation and loneliness by connecting with others, discussions and creative workshops. Hope that helps
