Trans Awareness Week and Day of Remembrance
The 13th of November signifies the start of Trans Awareness Week which leads us up to Trans Day of Remembrance on the 20th of November.
To celebrate this or very own Sam (he/they) has created a reading list of books that have helped him on his gender journey.
“These books are perfect to read if you’re part of the community or if you are just looking to understand the trans* experience more. I have put a mix of fiction and non-fiction as well as graphic novels. I have also asked people in my life to contribute to this and add books that have helped them learn about trans lives or helped them in their own gender journeys. I hope you find a book that resonates with you from this list” – Sam
LGBT HERO have launched a Trans Directory which lists services and organisations that are available to all Trans* people in the UK.
Both of these will be available on the LGBT HERO website from 13th November.
