Hi Sadboihours, Thanks for posting to the forums, welcome to the community! As for your question, I'd like to clarify your reason for asking. Conversion therapy is a dangerous practice that doesn't work (someone can't be "cured" of their sexual orientation) and actually causes a great deal of harm to those involved. There is absolutely no proof that anyone, anywhere has had their sexuality changed in this way, but there is a massive amount of evidence showing that LGBTQ+ people who are subjected to this unscientific, and non-medical practice are left with significant mental scars. As a more direct answer to your question: a bill was introduced on 9 March 2020 in Canada to ban conversion therapy nationally. I'm not sure if it's yet made it into law, but I'm guessing it's imminent? There are so many other options to conversion therapy: talking to the LGBTQ+ community, or a licensed, responsible therapist for instance, in a way which lets people come to terms with their sexuality in a healthy way. If you need someone to talk to, in Canada you can contact LGBT Youthline for support www.youthline.ca/ or call The Trevor Project (1-866-488-7386) both of which are charities set up to help vulnerable LGBTQ+ people. We're always here if you want to talk! Take care of yourself Justin
