Hi my name is Amelia and i'm a bit confused on what my gender identity is. I was assigned as a female as birth though I don't really feel like one. Yesterday I asked my friend to use they/them pronouns on me and I felt more confident than usual. But I am not 100 Percent sure :,) so if you could help me out that'd be great!
(I've had this for a while like 6 months now just never made an account)

Hi Amelia, Welcome to the OutLife Forums. It is more than okay not to be 100% sure about your identity. Such things are fluid and are entirely up to you how you want to describe yourself, and that can change in time too, as you experiment. Good to get your friend to use they/them and that your confidence improved with that. Always good to feel more confident isn't it? Worth looking at the OutLife page on this subject:- www.outlife.org.uk Follow the links to Gender and Sexuality. If you fancy a chat on the phone you can ring the Switchboard on 0300 330 0630 anytime between 10am and 10pm where an experienced Volunteer with be ready to take your call. Best wishes. Simon.
