Hello I'm cain
ive been Struggling with social anxiety depression most of my adult life and frustrated between wanting to change and being unable to do so. Its true what they say ive found, anxiety is when you care to much, depression is when you don't care enough and having both is a living hell.
After scanning the forums ive found that its really helpful knowing people are going through the same thing, even tho its horrible that you are but it makes me feel less isolated.....kind off.
I'm looking to make a connection with people who are going through the same thing I am and while ill chat to anyone who needs it, I think people underestimate just how effective talking is. So just a nice reminder that you're not alone, whatever it is you're struggling through please keep going and keep talking about it.

Hi there Cain,
Thanks for your post, and welcome to the OutLife forums!
I've also struggled with generalised anxiety, social anxiety and depression most of my adult life. It's definitely helped me as well knowing that there are other people out there experiencing the same thing, and also knowing that as an LGBTQ+ person, that there are reasons why I'm more likely to be affected by mood disorders than most people.
It's such a nice sentiment you've posted there and I wholeheartedly agree: keep talking! It's always going to be an ongoing process, managing mental health issues, and talking with other people can really help, even if you think you're treading over the same ground again and again. I have a friend who struggles with an eating disorder and we have the same conversations really regularly, but I know that talking helps her as much as it helps me, so am always happy to do it.
Are you looking for any kind of extra support with managing your mental health? You don't mention whether you're currently receiving any but I would be happy to make some recommendations of organisations that provide counselling, therapy and other kinds of assistance.
Best, Justin

Hi Cain
I have Borderline Personality Disorder which among other things means I suffer from anxiety, depression and very intense mood swings. You're right, it's good to talk so I just wanted to say hello!
