I feel a mess. In a hetrosexual marriage with two children.
I really need to talk to someone who can help me navigate this.
I'd be really grateful for any help.

I'd be happy to talk ! Recommendations for therapy: A sex/ sexuality positive one. I believe there's a councelling service called Pride councelling that specifically focused on sexuality ...

Hi there rb111, Thanks for your post, it takes a lot to ask for help sometimes but I'm so glad you reached out. I've never been in your position but there are millions of people out there who, just like you, have come to question their sexuality later in life, with some of the added complications this can bring. Please know that things can and do get better, and there are also millions of examples of people who come through the experience with a better understanding of themselves and what they want. It's tough, but sometimes admitting to ourselves that we're questioning is the biggest hurdle. If you're looking for therapy, I can't recommend enough that you seek an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist. This doesn't mean a therapist who will sway you in any way, it just means that they will be trained to have a deep understanding of the issues you're facing, and have the language, empathy, and lived experience that might help best. ELOP is a great organisation for this. They are the largest provider of LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy in the UK. You can contact them via the information on their website: www.elop.org/You can also try Pink Therapy, which has listings of therapists across the country who are LGBTQ+ trained www.pinktherapy.com/Charities like London Friend and LGBT Foundation also offer therapy which you may be able to access. If you just want to chat with someone who will listen, then the LGBTQ+ helpline Switchboard is open 10am - 10pm on 0300 330 0630. It's an amazing service and you might find being able to chat with them is a great way to find some emotional support and advice before you can commence therapy. I hope you find some of the above helpful. I know you're only questioning at the moment and may not identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but please know that no matter what your understanding of yourself comes to be, we're always here to support you on your journey. Love and solidarity, Justin
