We recently asked a question on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/lgbtoutlifeAre there enough LGBTQ+ mental health services in your area? After 928 votes the results are: 10% - Yes 90% - No Do you agree with this result? What services would you like to see in your area?

I would like to see more drop ins in rural areas. It would be great if big organisations went on the road and got out of cities into villages and small towns once in a while.

Unfortunately the mental health service here is subpar anyway, so there isn't enough for anyone let alone our LGBTQ community

Mindout, based in Brighton, has an online mental health support service daily for any lgbtq person wherever they live. Check out :- www.mindout.org.uk

My limited experience of trying to access NHS and outside services relevant to my gender, sexuality and mental health issues in rural SW England is that there's not a lot, and what there is involves a lot of waiting for access, and limited use when access is gained. Sad but true.

There are plenty in my area but most don't take my insurance and some of them are pricey to pay privately. So I voted no since many of them are inaccessible to me.
