All of my friends at school (senior) are gay and trans, and since early middle school I became the token straight. Even my younger sister is a lesbian and I’m her #1 supporter. A lot of people look at me and assume that I’m not straight because of the way I dress and who I hang out with (which I take as a compliment). I’ve never once really had a crush on a girl, and I’ve never really pictured myself being intimate with a girl. I think some girls are attractive but it’s never more than that.
I recently got out of a relationship with a guy (it was long distance) and it was a mutual break up. However, since then I’ve gotten really close to one of my lesbian friends. Like literally close, we went on a road trip together and I had middle seat so I slept on them most of the time, and when we had 4 people on a queen size air mattress we spooned the whole time. I think I have a crush on her, but I don’t know if it’s just she’s giving me attention, or shes my exact type but as a woman, or worse my feelings I have for her aren’t real.
Either way it’s really confusing me, and I think she’s really nice. We text all the time now, and even before me and my ex boyfriend broke up I wanted to be closer to her and hold her hand and stuff.

Hi there and thanks for your post. So you are aware you have a crush and want to be close to her. For some people talking through this can help. Talking to someone you can trust like a professional wellbeing person for example. I'm gay but I remember having a crush on a girl-friend even though I am always attracted to men. So I found this confusing but talked this through with someone I could trust at University. Sorry this situation is confusing you. Is there anyone you can talk to at your school such as a wellbeing lead? In the UK most educational spaces have wellbeing officers / support that can listen. Let us know how you get on. I hope the links below help: www.lgbthero.org.uk/what-is-sexualitywww.lgbthero.org.uk/Pages/Events/Category/upcoming-hangoutswww.lgbthero.org.uk/find-supportBest wishes
