I am a cis girl who identifies as bisexual. I've always had an easier time liking boys than girls. Just talking to a boy for a while, I started to like him. But with girls I had to have a good long friendship to start liking them. And the sexual attraction always came farther than the romantic one. With girls I only started to have some sexual attraction when I already had a strong romantic attraction, and to have this strong romantic attraction I had to have a very close and strong friendship with these girls. I can't tell if I'm bisexual demisexual, biaffective demisexual, bisexual demiromantic or anything like that. And I believe that if I fit in with different sexuality and romanticism, I can identify as Varioriented as well. Someone help me please, I'm so confused!!

Hi and thanks for your post. I think working through how we best identify ourselves can be very confusing. Sound like you are working through this though and welcome to the forums. Personally, I was also confused deciding on what my sexuality was sometime ago but eventually I became settled into how I defined myself. Hope the links below helps: www.lgbthero.org.uk/what-is-sexualityWe also run various social and support groups too >> www.lgbthero.org.uk/Pages/Events/Category/upcoming-hangoutsBest wishes on your journey

When I first came out as Bi I liked way more men than women, and didn't really know 'how' to like women. Over 15 years later I like women way more and mostly use the label queer. I'm not saying this will be you, but that when discovering our queerness it can take a while and evolve. Liking genders we were not socialised to like can feel different to liking the ones we were.
