Dating in the Digital Age

Hi everyone,
Recently I facilitated a couple of group conversations at 50+ HangOuts and we looked at the idea of designing a chat dating app. So posting on here to ask what would make this app, regardless of age (whether we are dating or just making connections) feel safer, user friendly, inclusive, diverse and accessible for everyone.
So what does your app ideas look like? Or do we already have safe, inclusive chat apps already? What are we using that works for us? What doesn't work for us and why?
See below some early ideas from the groups I have worked with:
- A buddy system for safety - so your friend know who you are meeting
- A easy reporting facility for hate crime / incidents
- Easy for vision impaired people to use - I.e. the app works with text to speech and reverse of this.
- Better haptics - so different vibrations indicate messages coming in or alerts
- Rating other users ?
