so i live in an area which is very ant lgbtq
the place i lived before was the same
like serious disdain
it angers me
because i was targeted by the locals thinking they could intimidate me to move .
it eventually got that bad i did have to move.
now this is were the story gets really fucked up
i swapped address with a guy. This guy lived the area before were i was moving from
he pretty much coined it as to why i was moving .
because he then joined in on the action.
he sent me a grinder in the post on xmas day ffs. occasionally i get mail long after having changed address. i recently got another subscription from him for natures best. bear in mind this is 12 months after i moved in.
the neighbours stole the welcome mat at the front door when i moved in and the first night in there was a very loud bang on the bedroom ceiling at 4am which was very likely on purpose. the neighbour across from the front door put up a sign saying beware thats literally all it says
and every time i go into the local shops the staff are very cold, very calous and they do it with intent.
its evident to me thst these people do not want me living in the area and the previous neighbour is obviously in on the action.
it angers me but it wont change anything i am here to stay and eventually they will get the message that i will not be moved.
they did this to me in a previous address before i was there 7 years and they looked so pathetic they realised they couldn't effect me
but that was before i realised these kinds of people actually want gay people to commit suicide.
so have to say im quite angry
especially since i get no support from my family.

Hey and thanks for your post. Sounds like very stressful and difficult time for you. It's understandable that you are angry. I'm sorry this is happening. Looks like perhaps talking to someone might help. I'll list places below for you and hope this helps. I remember going through something similar many years ago and we have to get the council and then the police involved which helped. I made notes of incidences that were happening and recorded the date time etc. It's healthy that you are developing a determination not to be moved but if you are in immediate danger (999) or are being targeted because of your sexuality, gender identity or expression then this is clearly a hate crime. You can also anonymously report hate crime too >> lgbt.foundation/reportlgbt.foundation/helplineLet us know how you get on. I have also included a useful link below too: www.lgbthero.org.uk/find-supportHope things get better
