Hi and thanks for your post. Welcome to LGBT HERO Forums. Inequalities of any sort make me sad, upset and frustrated and I try to turn some of this into positive action (such as art, writing, social media, conversations and challenging words and actions that are damaging.) Clearly last week the UK PM's comments on gender and the Home Secretary's LGBTQ+ negative immigration and comments on women. were damaging; I found them both to be blunt, mis-informed and LGBTQ+ phobic. I'm just glad that most people and LGBTQ+ and ally organisations took to social media to show their frustration, as well as protest in most of the major cities. Perhaps Rishi and Suella need to look at how best to be a Trans Ally >> www.lgbthero.org.uk/12-ways-you-can-be-a-better-trans-allyAny kind of transphobia, biphobia and homophobia is damaging for our queer communities, in terms of mental health and wellbeing. We have the right to exist and live our lives without fear or judgment and be our best authentic selves. How do you feel about all the Transphobia we are seeing and experiencing?"Being a supportive and understanding ally to transgender people is crucial in promoting inclusivity and acceptance. Educating oneself about trans issues and adopting respectful behaviours can make a significant difference in creating a more inclusive and welcoming world for everyone. Trans people face some of the harshest health and social inequalities that exist in society. Particularly around mental health and suicide. Trans people right now are dealing with social issues where their identity, existence and rights are being held up for debate. We here at LGBT HERO understand what trans people are going through right now and will stand side by side with them."
