Hi all. Proud ally here. How would I refer to seperate-gendered toilets today? For instance, are "Gent's" or "Men's", and "Ladies'" still acceptable? Thanks

Hi there and thanks for your post. Firstly, I feel everyone should have access to a toilet they feel able to use safely. However, The LGBT in Britain - Trans report (Stonewall 2017) showed that 48% of trans people don’t feel comfortable using public toilets. genderedintelligence.co.uk/professionals/resources/toiletsI personally feel that the words Gents and Ladies are outdated and pejorative terms and a move to gender neutral terms would be more inclusive. We all want to feel welcome in all spaces. Here is a useful resource www.goodnightoutcampaign.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/toilets.pdfWhat do you think? Good to hear from you
