I'm a 51y.o gay guy but I haven't fully come out yet. Only one person knows, a very good friend of mine, and she is so supportive and I love that. I've always been bi but due to being married for many years and having kids (twin boys who are 14), I've had to put that side of my sexuality on the back burner. My ex-wife and I divorced very amicably a few years ago and we share custody of the boys 50/50 which means I have plenty of 'me time'. I'm yet to meet someone but hopefully that'll change in time. Any advice on where is best to look for dating etc would be welcome. Or anyone in a similar position who wants to chat, just drop me a line. This chapter of my life is all still new to me and I hope to make sense of it all eventually. Happy New Year to you all, by the way. Thanks

Hi there and thanks for your post. It's exciting that this chapter of your life is new and it is yours to define. You have every right to live the life you wish to. Taking your time, step by step, and building the confidence with the new will help. For some this may be forums, reading LGBTQ+ books, watching LGBTQ+ films and TV, or talking to others in a social support group or perhaps talking and unpacking feelings with a counsellor or therapist - for some it is a mixture of all. It certainly was a mixture of all when I was first discovering the new me. Not sure if you have heard of LGBT HERO HangOuts - they are a social support space on Zoom.
